Absolutely stunning vintage Gibson LG-1 from 1953, in beautiful tobacco sunburst finish, FON number starts with Y, in excellent condition. The graceful teardrop shaped pickguard and 19 frets are telltale marks of a pre '55 model . After 1955, the pickguard is larger and pointed and there is 1 fret more (20 frets).

This is the best preserved LG-1 from the early 1950ies, we have encountered so far.

It features mahogany back and sides, a spruce top with a nice, original, sunburst finish, original pickguard, original square rosewood bridge with pearl dot inlays , comfortable mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, 19 frets, pearl dot inlays, relplaced vintage Kluson tuners and nicely aged creme body bindings. There's just the right amount of play ware on the top.
