This beautiful SJ has lots of mojo and a deep and warm sound. Very inspiring guitar to play !

We - just like the previous owners - date this guitar to 1948.

It has the following specs :

• Original Finish.
• Bottom belly original bridge (in 1949 the belly up bridge was introduced), shaved down a bit and has newer bone saddle (previous one is in the case)
• Guitar plays smoothly with low action. No neck reset needed.
• Semirefretted
• Perloid fingerboard inlay
• Bound brazilian rozewood fretboard with paralellogram inlays
• Mahogany neck, straight
• Mahogany back & sides
• Gibson block logo (the thick golden script logo ended in 1947)
• Replaced Kluson 3 on-a-plate tuners
• FON number has faded over the years
• Period correct 50's alligator case
