Up for sale is this cool Gibson L-48 Archtop guitar from 1953.

FON : Y 6881 (in lower f hole)

Overall very good condition.

The unbound headstock wears the Gibson block logo.

Original closed back, 3-on-a-plate Kluson tuners with probably newer buttons.

Nice mahogany C-profile neck topped with rosewood fretboard with dot position inlays.

Thin frets show some wear especially in the lower positions but are still good enough.

Action and playablility are very good. Truss rod works fine.

Nut width is the desirable 1 11/16 inch (= 43 mm)

16 inch wide body - spruce top - mahogany back and sides - no cracks
